The Universal Audio Driver for PC Windows sets up the UAD-2 SOLO, DUO, QUAD, and UAD-2 PCIe hardware in your computer. This driver also lets you monitor the UAD-2 SOLO, DUO, and QUAD hardware inputs and outputs and update the firmware. The Universal Audio Driver for Mac OS allows you to select the proper FireWire (1394) bus when connecting a UAD-2 SOLO or Laptop hardware interface to your computer. UA has announced the availability of a new Universal Audio driver for Windows systems. These new capabilities provide users with an economical solution for interfacing digital audio workstation (DAW) computer-based systems with their outboard analog equipment.

The Universal Audio Driver for PC Windows allows you to use the UAD Powered Plug-Ins platform with your choice of audio-production software on PCs running Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, and XP. This is a fully-featured audio driver for all of your UAD-2 Powered Plug-in needs. This driver requires a UAD-2 device, or the UAD-2 SOLO, DUO, and QUAD DSP Accelerator Cards, which are sold separately.

The Universal Audio Driver for PC Windows is an easy-to-install option for using UAD Powered Plug-Ins on your PC. The driver allows you to use selected plug-ins in real-time with UA DSP hardware. The driver does not allow you to use UAD plug-ins without UA hardware.
