The printer seems quite sturdy, it comes well packed. HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 All-in-One Wireless Printer with Mobile Printing is a nice printer in general, with sharp output even on a draft setting. Scanning works effortlessly, color copying function and quality are as good as a commercial machine although a bit slower, colors print out accurately, scanning or copying black & white or color photos, as well as printing photos, produce great results. The quality printing looked normal for standard text documents.

This printer was considered an excellent printer for its time, and printed nice documents and very nice photos and graphics, even on plain paper. This printer is big and quite hefty. All of the components are tight, well-finished, and feel high-quality. The paper tray is solid and well-built with good quality adjusters for paper size. The OfficeJet Pro 8610 is a real workhorse, and the 11″ x 17″ printing format has come in very handy.

The setup printer, software, and driver were easy and flawless. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 driver printer came with a 1-page quick setup guide. Initial setup includes attaching the duplexing tray, adding ink cartridges, paper, and finding the wireless network. Everything went without a hitch on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS system, with the printer showing up automatically on the printer’s page of the control panel.
