Text Edit Plus is a worthy competitor to Notepad and Microsoft word with a great price to both. Text Edit Plus, like Windows Notepad but with extra really useful things like inserting a number before any line to create a list in seconds. With this application, you can change fonts inside the program to see the files and some fun extras like ASCII art and everything saved to .txt format. Quick ASCII art is one of the many cool integrated features to have fun exploring in this program.

Text Edit Plus has exactly all the features I need, and nothing more. Sometimes work with code can get very stressful, this is the kind of program you use to relax after coding for a few hours and finding that the mistake was missing. This is a great tool for coders when not coding, playful, and funny to play with while spending minimal time generating fun things. You can also change the default font of the editor to one of your liking.

Text Edit Plus is a good program if you do light HTML editing or other programming languages frequently. If you are looking for a lightweight and cost-effective program to replace a free Notepad style editor, this is a great solution. I like it so much that if this was free I would donate to the project. But, for anyone looking for anything more full-featured like tables and tabs and excel integration, you won’t find it here.
